Privacy Policy

At Appsyla, we believe that your desktop experience is yours alone. We built Mac Remote Controller (MRT) with a privacy-first, local-only architecture. This policy explains what data is required for the app to function and how we handle it.

The Short Version: We do not collect, track, or store any of your personal data.

1. Local Network Communication

Mac Remote Controller operates strictly over your Local Area Network (Wi-Fi or LAN). When you pair your iOS device with your Mac, the connection is established directly between your two devices using a secure PIN.

• No Cloud Servers: Your inputs (keystrokes, trackpad movements, media controls) are never routed through the internet or external servers.
• No Telemetry: We do not track how often you use the app, which buttons you press, or what your IP address is.

2. macOS Accessibility Permissions

To function properly, the macOS server portion of MRT requires you to grant it Accessibility Permissions within your Mac's System Settings.

Why is this needed? macOS requires explicit user permission for any application to simulate mouse movements, clicks, or keyboard inputs. MRT relies on this permission to translate your iPhone's touch inputs into physical actions on your Mac.

This permission is strictly used to execute your remote commands. MRT does not read your screen, log your personal keystrokes, or monitor other applications.

3. Data Collection & Analytics

We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs (like Firebase or Google Analytics) inside the Mac Remote Controller app. We do not collect crash reports, device identifiers, or user profiles.

The only information we see is the standard, anonymous installation data provided by Apple's App Store dashboard (e.g., total downloads per region).

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time if we add new features that fundamentally change how the app operates. Since we do not collect your email address, we cannot notify you directly. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes.
